The Platform

Serving The Community

As your candidate I have been apart of this community all my life born and raised in the district. I attended 59th Street School, Western Ave Elementary, Audubon Middle School  and graduated from Crenshaw High in 1983.

I am a proud mom of two adult children, and one grandson. After a successful career in real estate for more than 20 years and the previous Owner/Broker of two Century 21 Franchises here in South Los Angeles.

Lifetime member of First AME Church up until last few years  where I was the Executive Assistant to the current Pastor.

I've always worked tirelessly to make sure any resident of South LA was treated fairly in housing fighting redlining issues, excessive foreclosures in this community, homeowner insurances being denied-lower appraisal values were all apart of the problem. We have been through a lot in this community but we have to continue to fight the good fight.

My deciding to embark on this challenge is natural for me to continue to fight for whats right. We have lost a lot and will continue to loose if we don't stand up for what's fair and just on so many levels.  Currently all of  us are fighting to remain residents of South LA change has come upon us with most of our voices being ignored we have to stand up and push back and make changes ourselves, we must not continue to do the same things and expect change to come. It is all of our responsibility to stand up and Vote Out of theses circumstances. "IF WE WANT MORE- WE HAVE TO DO MORE".  As your Councilwoman  my job is to speak for District 8 and not take the easy way out.  I will address our PUBLIC SAFETY problem that we all see is clearly out of control our children are being killed daily due to gang violence. The first way my administration will address gang violence in this community is by producing deceit jobs  and educational facilities that will teach  skills for jobs . This creation of jobs in the 8th District will also reduce the homelessness in our community. My staff will on day one be prepared to present a well prepared economic plan to accomplish our creating jobs initiative We will be prepared to negotiate with companies of all sorts to bring their companies here in District 8  to create these jobs, this is a big part of the prevention piece in  deterring gang violence and decreasing our homeless constituents. On day one my staff will be finding locations to  add numerous STEM Centers for our young people to elevate their education level. Another team will be out accessing exactly what we need to do to take much better care of our Seniors and Senior Living Facilities. My staff will be dedicated public servants that act in truth, transparency, goodwill, and common sense, there  will be immediate changes for the betterment of everyone. I intend to serve the community at a higher level of excellence and commitment

Lastly, it's simply time to change the guards, we need to count on each other at this point in creating upward change.

Best Regards
